Land Rover has launched a series of inspirational documentaries produced by Emirati film director Ali Mostafa and directed by Emirati filmmaker Ahmed Abdulqader. The subjects of the films come from different walks of life but share one thing in common: they have gone above and beyond in their achievements.
After his family was struck by tragedy, UAE-based adventurer and entrepreneur Nizar Fakhoury founded Climb for Cancer. Nizar’s film is an honest, raw and beautifully emotive account of what motivated and inspired him to dedicate his life to raising funds for families affected by cancer.
A further film in the ‘My Journey, My Inspiration’ series documents the moving story of Lebanese paraplegic Michael Haddad who defied all odds to become a professional athlete. Paralysed from the chest down at just six years old, Michael dreamt of being able to walk - and so began his remarkable journey.
Finally, we discover the story of Bader Al Lawati. Nicknamed “the freezing Omani”, Bader’s passion for protecting the environment of his homeland inspired him to take on a challenging and gruelling journey to the Antarctic, a place to which few Omanis have ever been.
